
Smashed, grilled or fried, nothing beats a good burger. But there are good burgers, and then there are the burgers featured on the sizzling new series, Big Burger Battle. Each week, host Andrew Phung welcomes some of the best burger creators into the kitchen for the most epic burger battle to ever exist.
Week after week, these seven competitors will serve up the best burgers of their lives in hopes of grilling their way to the finals, where only one chef and their creation will earn the title of Big Burger Battle Champion. On the line? Pride, along with a $25,000 prize and a tropical, all-inclusive vacation for two.

Stefan comes from a line of chefs that goes all the way back to his great grandmother. He’s had a robust career in the culinary industry and is so happy that he finally settled in the burger world. Stefan’s Banana Split Burger won Best Burger in Montreal at 2024’s Le Burger Week.

Tu has been fascinated by burgers since he had his first bite of one as a kid. Tu opened Jack’s Burger Shack with his brother and brought along his wife and mom to join the family business. Tu’s burgers have been declared Best Burger in Edmonton by the Edmonton Sun, and Best Burger in the World by the Edmonton Journal.

Inspired by her grandmother’s cooking, Marissa has made a name for herself in Montreal, and is known for infusing Caribbean flavours into every dish she creates—including hamburgers. Marissa is a private chef and business owner whose focus and dedication comes from her military background.

Jae Lee is Korean-born and New York City-raised. He brings bold flavours with a unique Korean twist to classic dishes. Now the owner of two thriving New York City restaurants, Jae’s known for his Kimchi Smash Burger, which he claims he invented and popularized. Jae is excited to blow away the judges and make his parents, wife and future daughter proud.

Tyler is a total burger romantic. Having worked in multiple restaurants and developed countless recipes, Tyler recently put his money where his mouth is: burgers! Opening his pop-up burger spot is a true labour of love, and getting to do so with his girlfriend is the “pickle” on top.
