For Pamela Anderson, that tone is often love.
“I like to create an experience and really just fill the table full of love, full of whimsy and romance and magic,” the Pamela’s Cooking With Love host says in the video above. “It doesn’t always have to be a special occasion to make it special.”
To do that, Anderson is a huge fan of bringing a formal indoor table setting to the outdoors. She says having that juxtaposition of elegance and nature creates a romantic scene that feels special.

If you’re wondering how to set a table like Anderson, she has a few tips. In the video, the host creates a hanging feature over the table with flowers, various jars and candles for an intimate vibe. Mason jars, terra cotta pots, more flowers and cloth napkins on the picnic table below give lots of texture and intimacy. More candles on stands of varying heights add even more intimacy and romance, especially when the sun begins to set.
For this meal, Anderson serves the food family style, but a proper table setting like this also easily pairs with a buffet-style or served meal.
“You should be able to feel a person’s story when you sit down at that table,” she adds. “Food is beautiful, so you actually could be an artist when you set the table.”
