John’s hot spots

Mike’s Huli Chicken
For the most tasty Hawaiian-style rotisserie chicken, Mike’s Huli in Kahuku is the place to be. John says the hot sauce they use on their chicken is some of the best he has ever had! Using ginger, teriyaki and even smoking some of the fish and pork on the menu makes all the dishes part of a unique Hawaiian experience.

Moke’s Bread and Breakfast
From classic Rueben sandwiches to Liliko’i (passion fruit) pancakes, there is something for everyone on this Honolulu diner’s menu. If you’re into a bigger meal, the Big Kat dish has a huge slab of ribeye with corned beef hash, Portuguese sausage, rice and gravy – and this is only breakfast!

Star Noodle
Lahaina, on the island of Maui, is filled with restaurants to visit, so what makes Star Noodle stand out? The menu is pulled from different cultures, according to locals who visit often. It’s also filled with comfort food including crunchy Vietnamese crepes, garlic noodles, steamed pork buns and Lahaina fried soup. Something for everyone!

Where to go

When in Honolulu, simply strolling along Waikiki beach is enough entertainment. Once a playground for royalty, today millions of visitors can enjoy watching surfers, swimmers and boats have fun in the ocean.

When to visit

Anytime you can get there!

John’s tip

Take a hike up to Mount Leahi AKA Diamond Head mountain and catch all the sites this beautiful island has to offer.
