The Festive Double Down is a play on the original Double Down, but it’s more holiday-dinner-like. KFC is also bringing a limited-time holiday menu filled with affordable meals! Here’s everything you need to know, plus our review of the Festive Double Down.

The KFC Festive Double Down is made of two signature triple-breaded chicken fillets, also known as chicken tenders, that act as buns, with stuffing, sweet cranberry sauce and creamy mayonnaise in between.

The new Festive Double Down draws inspiration from the original version. The Double Down is made of two fillets, two slices of cheese, crispy bacon and your choice of mayo or spicy sauce.

What does the KFC Festive Double Down taste like?

The KFC Festive Double Down took us by complete surprise, and we honestly think it should be on the menu all year round. The chicken is perfectly crispy, the stuffing feels like Christmas dinner and the cranberry sauce adds sweetness to every bite. The mayonnaise is a great addition to the sandwich because it adds creaminess and moisture. But, we will preface by saying it’s a heavy sandwich, and we were definitely full after eating it!

For a limited time, KFC is giving Canadians value-priced meals (which means more bang for your buck) and menu items that include:

The Festive Sandwich is made of one chicken patty, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo in between buns. It can be ordered on its own or as a combo or box meal with fries, popcorn chicken, an additional homestyle side, one Turtles 2-piece bar, dip and a drink.
