Canadian fast food chain, Mary Brown’s Chicken, introduced a Hot Honey Sandwich and it’s so fiery. No, seriously, it might just be one of the best fast food fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had, so we obviously have to talk about it.
Mary Brown’s Chicken introduced the sandwich to celebrate the release of Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again. The sandwich was designed to attract those who crave intense flavours with a perfect sweet and spicy balance.
In addition to the Hot Honey Sandwich, I also tried two secret menu items that are only available through the app – Ghost Pepper Wings and Ghost Pepper Poutine.

The first ever Mary Brown’s store opened in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador in 1969. It’s a fast food chain with over 55 years in business and over 270 stores. What makes the Canadian fast food chain so popular is its signature chicken, which is cooked fresh, and its delicious taters made with potatoes grown by Canadian farmers.

Is Mary Brown’s Hot Honey Sandwich Good?
Absolutely! The Mary Brown’s Hot Honey Sandwich is delicious and so crave-worthy. Let’s start with the basics: the chicken patty. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy and arrived hot, even though I had it delivered to my home. The chicken is then topped with crispy jalapeno bits, spicy mayo, pickles and tangy Monterey Jack cheese. I am obsessed with the addition of crispy jalapeno bites; they add a crunch and flavour I didn’t know I needed.
But what makes this the best fried chicken sandwich ever? It’s definitely the unique sauce. It combines honey with a chilli pepper kick that I couldn’t get enough of. The sandwich also comes with a hot honey dip and, WOW, it is phenomenal. Oh, and the soft but toasted bun adds to the perfection. I mean it, you must try this sandwich ASAP.
It’s a 10/10 from me.

Are Mary Brown’s Ghost Pepper Wings and Ghost Pepper Poutine Good?
If you’re anything like me and love your food with a spicy and fiery kick, you will love it.
When ordering wings, I like them to be spicy without feeling like my mouth is burning off; these wings are the perfect balance for me. The wings are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. These wings are my favourite out of the Ghost Pepper secret menu options, and I’d rank them 9/10.
The Ghost Pepper Poutine is a twist on a classic Canadian food, but Mary Brown’s turned it up a notch. Instead of fries, the poutine comes with their famous crispy taters, also known as wedges. Topping it off are cheese curds, gravy, chicken bites and ghost pepper. It’s good but quite saucy, and because of that, I rank it an 8/10.
