Our Honest Review of the T-fal Infrared Air Fryer

T-fal’s new infrared air fryer promises many things that would make using an air fryer a lot better. The kitchen appliance is also less than $200, which is cheaper than other high-end brands. So, obviously, we had to test it out to see if it’s as great as it sounds!

The new T-fal air fryer uses an “Infra-heat technology,” which allows the appliance to heat up to 750°F in seconds, eliminates the process of preheating and mid-cooking shaking, and allows the food to cook to your preferred crispy and juicy levels.

The air fryer comes with a removable “crispier tray,” which is dishwasher-safe and cleans up easily. But the basket itself is not. However, it is cleaned easily by simply using water and a cloth.

Should you buy the T-fal Infrared Air Fryer?

The short answer? Yes. But for the long answer, let us tell you the pros and cons of the air fryer so that you can be the judge of your purchase.

Pros:

The air fryer cooks fast, and it actually makes the food crispier in just two minutes. We did a chicken nugget and french fries test, and they tasted like our favourite fast food chain because the food was cooked to perfection within only eight minutes.

The window helps when cooking because you can see when your food is ready without opening the machine and checking. We can add or remove minutes from the timer by peeking through the window and determining whether it’s cooked enough to eat.

The air fryer heats up within seconds, so you can pop in your food and have it warmed up within minutes, and unlike a microwave, it actually makes it taste better than when you first made it.

We absolutely love the “Crispy Finish” feature exclusive to this air fryer. In just two minutes, you can turn anything into a crispier version of it with the perfect golden crust. We use it on our chicken nuggets, toast, bagels, fries and basically everything else.

Cons:

The air fryer is hard to figure out at first because of the touch screen, but after reading the manual, you’ll know how to switch it on after plugging it in.

While we love that it gets hot in seconds, it also means it’s super hot when you pull out your tray. You should probably always use tongs to remove the food because flipping it over and letting it fall onto your plate results in the removable Crispier Tray also falling and it’s hot, so be careful!

So, overall, it is definitely worth purchasing because it will make eating at home more efficient and better tasting.
