We Rank Tim Hortons New Retro Donuts from Worst to Best

Tim Hortons Retro Donuts

Tim Hortons has brought back two fan-favourite donuts and introduced two new Retro Donuts to celebrate their 60th anniversary and we’re here for it. The coffee chain knows that Canadians love their coffee, Timbits and donuts, and there isn’t a better way to celebrate 60 years as the nations favourite chain than to bring back nostalgic feels.

Tim Hortons opened its first ever location in Hamilton in 1964 and has grown so much since then. As part of this year’s festivities Tim Hortons is not only bringing back donuts you’ve been dreaming about but they are also putting on a musical titled The Last Timbit.

Sugar Twist

4. Sugar Twist

The Sugar Twist donut is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a donut that’s twisted and covered in sugar. While we loved the pillowy components of the donut and it brought back nostalgic carnival memories, it wasn’t our favourite from the bunch. That’s mainly because the flavours weren’t shocking and tasted exactly as expected, which isn’t a bad thing.

Blueberry Sour Cream donut

3. Blueberry Sour Cream

The Blueberry Sour Cream Donut from Tim Hortons was bursting with summery flavours and we loved it. The blueberries were sweet while the outside of the donut was covered in a sugar glaze that made the treat taste perfectly sweet. It was delicious but not our top choice because the one that ranks as the best was outstanding!

Dutchie

2. Dutchie

The Dutchie was similar in taste and texture to the Blueberry Sour Cream but it is square-shaped. If you love raisins in desserts, like we do, you will enjoy this Tim Hortons donut. The donut is glazed and simple, which is what we loved about it the most. When ranking our favourites, we would say that the Blueberry Sour Cream and Dutchie are equally delicious.

Walnut crunch

Tim Hortons

1.Walnut Crunch

The Walnut Crunch was our favourite donut from the new retro lineup at Tim Hortons and that’s because it’s perfectly balanced. We love chocolate and this one was light enough that you could eat the whole thing while also giving us the chocolate fix we look for. Additionally, the walnuts add a great crunch to the soft donut and the glaze gave it the sugar kick needed in a Tim Hortons donut. Overall, the Walnut Crunch from Tim Hortons is a 10/10!
