As we enter what is arguably the best season for pie, this Pecan Pie is a classic to serve this fall and holiday season! A little trick to yield the best-flavoured pecan pie? Lightly toast the pecans beforehand to bring out a boost of nuttiness and flavour.

single all-butter pie crust
Egg wash

cup golden corn syrup

cup light brown sugar, lightly packed

cup unsalted butter, melted

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Brush the pie crust generously with egg wash and chill for 30 minutes.

Step 2

As the crust chills, prepare the filling. Whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, vanilla and salt until well combined.

Step 3

Transfer pecans to pie crust. Pour filling over the pecans, ensuring the filling is in one even layer.

Step 4

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until the crust is golden and the filling is cooked throughout. Let cool completely before slicing and serving.
