These no-bake chocolate balls are perfect no matter the time of year because they are quick to make, super affordable and taste delicious. These 3-ingredient chocolate balls were so trendy when I was growing up and is one of my favourite childhood desserts. They used to be the most popular treat at any birthday party while I was growing up, and they taste even better as adults. No matter the occasion, whether it is a New Year’s Eve party or a Valentine’s date, these chocolate truffles will impress.

The no-bake chocolate ball recipe is simple, but it requires a couple of resting periods. However, if you’re short on time, you could skip a couple of these steps. The outer layer is chocolate, and the inside resembles a cake pop but better. Make them festive by adding sprinkles or icing sugar and place them on any dessert table this season.

Chocolate ball ingredients
Step 1

Start by blending Oreos until it’s a fine consistency. If you don’t have a blender, you can crush the Oreos by placing them in a Ziplock and breaking them with a spatula or rolling pin.

Step 2

In a large bowl, add crushed Oreos and cream cheese. Using your hands, knead the mixture until it’s fully incorporated.

Step 3

Scoop one tablespoon of the mixture and turn them into balls using the palms of your hand. Place them on a baking sheet and place in the freezer. Let them sit for at least half an hour (or while you complete the next step).

Step 4

Melt the chocolate. You can do this in the microwave or stovetop, but make sure not to burn it. I suggest melting the chocolate in the microwave and mixing it every 30 seconds until smooth and creamy.

Step 5

Take chocolate balls out of the freezer, and dip in the chocolate until fully coated. Place in the freezer again.

Step 6

This step is optional but makes for a pretty chocolate ball. Melt white chocolate in the microwave using the same technique as the milk chocolate, but keep a closer eye on it as white chocolate tends to lump when overheated. We want it to be smooth and runny in consistency.

Step 7

Take chocolate balls out of the freezer and drizzle white chocolate all over them. You can do this using a fork. Place in the freezer for an hour.

Step 8

For best results, take the no-bake chocolate balls out of the freezer an hour before eating and leave them at room temperature. If you have any leftovers, you can place them in the fridge. Enjoy!
