cup extra virgin olive oil

garlic cloves, thinly sliced

tsp fennel seeds, crushed or finely chopped
2
tsp hot smoked paprika
2
tsp red pepper flakes
4
pounds heirloom tomatoes
¼
cup sherry vinegar or red wine vinegar

Step 1
Combine the olive oil and garlic in a small skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until the garlic is barely golden and crisp, 3 to 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and stir in the fennel seeds, paprika and red pepper flakes.
Step 2
Place the tomatoes on a large platter and splash with the vinegar. Spoon the chile crisp over and finish with plenty of salt and serve.
